Dr Rachel Jones
Salaried GP
Introduction
My role at the practice is as a salaried GP doing clinics on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays. I also do home visits, review test results, sign repeat prescriptions, complete medical reports, refer to specialists and am involved in medical education with students, f2 doctors and GP registrars. I’ve been at Wrekenton since August 2022. I have previously worked in training posts in a wide number of specialities including stroke medicine, orthopaedics, breast surgery, A&E, obstetrics and gynaecology, palliative care and old age psychiatry. Since qualifying as I GP in 2015 I have worked in four different GP practices in the North East and worked for out-of-hours GP services. I also work two days a week for the Northern Region Gender Dysphoria Service.
